Description: The latest global changes — in terms of social relations and the physical sensation of time and space, are affecting the way we recognize, understand and relate with the world. The augmented sense of uncertainty and need for survival has threatened our sense of continuity and challenged our endurance. Imagination and creativity seem to be our only hope.

Navigating the Exhibition: The exhibition unfolds without any particular linear order in mind. The nature of the sequence is a result of the online environment. The curator would have displayed all the works horizontally, rather than vertically, if that were an option. To allow intimacy with the work, each image can be examined by clicking on it —entering a Lightbox, where captions with more details about the work will appear (please wait a few seconds for the caption to vanish). The use of text was reduced to the minimum, as the curator prefers people to look for their own answers by exploring solely the images of work and leaving the rest of the experience to their own imagination.
About the Curator: Shi Lan is a gallery owner, founder of Lan/Space Art Center located in Caochangdi, Beijing. In 2007, she entered the Chinese art world serving as Art Director of the Beijing Quanyi Club. Since then, she has successfully planned and held hundreds of art exhibitions in China and internationally. She graduated at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) a Major in Art Criticism and Management, under the tutelage of doctoral students professor Yi Ying.
Since 2015, Lan/Space is an organization dedicated to discovering and promoting young artists.
石兰是畫廊的老闆，位於北京草場地的Lan/Space藝術中心的創始人。 2007年，她以北京全藝俱樂部藝術總監的身份進入中國藝術界。從那以後，她成功地策劃並在中國和國際上舉辦了數百場藝術展覽。她畢業於中央美術學院藝術批評與管理專業，並獲得了博士生易英教授的指導。

Remarks from the curator:
The global pandemic that has profoundly touched all our lives, the world has become a cultural environment evoking a different sense of temporality that transcends a fixed state.
The exhibition, “Radiance of Imagination”, is a gathered energy of thoughts. The context of radiance represents the chaos that we have experienced in today’s post-Pandemic society. In this regard, memory, imagination, time and place are fluid, and in constant dialogue—overlapping, erasing, and re-writing—much like the continuous change of life itself .
“Imagination” is the liberation in which one tries to break through the boundaries between artist and audience. Dynamic perception is brief, but true, and real. At this moment, we must expect to spark our imagination. Gradually we approach our dreams from a distance, far away and yet closer to a new world.
Our exhibition has multiple meanings related to inspiration, healing, future and hope. This expectation is engendered in the work of all the artists who have joined us here today.
策展人致辞:
在这个流行病的年份里，这个词也深刻地影响了我们所有人的生活，它变得不同，也把文化切成了碎片，唤起了一种超越固定状态的短暂感。《在想象中闪烁》是“思想能量的集合”。世界在改变，我们与世界的关系又有了新的审视和认知。在这种背景下，《在》表达了了当今社会的混乱。在这方面，记忆、想象、时间和地点是流动的，在不断的对话中—重叠、擦除和重写。今天我们这个展览将从这里展开一次突围。“想象”是我们试图突破艺术家与观众界限的一种解放。这种动态的感知是短暂的，但却是真实的。此时此刻，我们期待着从想象中迸发出的火花，渐渐接近梦想，从一个遥远而又接近的新世界。这个展览具有多重意义，它与灵感和治愈，未来及希望有关！本次展览由我们参展的十二位艺术家共同完成.
